The Screens Go Green...Part Deux

As written earlier, Repla Prints has a commitment to lessening our environmental impact. Not through impossible to achieve ideas or radical thinking, but by taking smaller steps to do our part. Our newest change is the removal of aerosol adhesive from our production facility. We have switched over instead to a water based brush on adhesive for holding shirts in place while printing. With the new adhesive comes less airborne solvent particles. Although the old aerosols didn't deplete the ozone, they aren't good for the health of our employees. With the new adhesive comes less waste as well, less spray cans and less paint thinner for cleanup to name a couple. In addition to this, we have also long been involved in digital garment printing with a Brother GT-541 printer. This printer uses zero chemicals and very little electricity. Prints just like an inkjet printer. Also waste is virtually zero since we recycle our used cartridges. We have also changed to a cleaning solution that has very little VOC's and a screen reclaimation system that greatly reduces our water consumption. Feel free to stop by our facility for a tour!
